Press conference for the opening of the Christmas Market 2005/12/22

To hang up all the Christmas cards...

...we took advantage of every facility there was and, thus, decorated the whole plaza around Zhongshan Hall. 

When all the helpers had arrived we eventually set about to decorate the tree...

...which, however, had to be assembled first.

  In the meantime the Angel's choir rehearsed their grand performance.

After all, we could finally get inside, where it was warm and where, at the Baolei Cafe, the press conference was to take place.

Then, all guests gathered on the terrace of the Cafe...

...and listened to the opening speech held by General Secretary Han and the Commissioner of the Dept. of Cultural Affairs, Taipei City Gov., Mr Hsien-hao Liao, PhD.

And finally, the Christmas tree was kindled, accompanied by the Angel's choir...

...which, in best German,...

  ...chanted 'Oh Tannenbaum' twice in a row.

Subsequently, it was called to stand still and not move ...

...so the photographers ...

....can do their job properly.
